One Team, One Goal

Together, we serve as the bridge to support our students and community, ensuring that we all work collaboratively toward a shared vision of success. By uniting our efforts, we empower students to thrive in their future endeavors.

Our Vision

Our Portrait of a Graduate serves as a collective, shared vision that defines what we mean by the phrase “successful graduate.” It is a beacon for our school district, providing 21st-century, deeper learning experiences that extend beyond traditional academics. This whole-child approach to education helps each and every student thrive in the future, regardless of their career or college path

Principal Dr. Alan Carter

I've been a dedicated educator since the fall of 1999, with teaching experiences spanning Texas, Bogotá, Colombia, and Michigan. Since 2009, I've served as a principal, driven by my Montessori philosophy that true learning happens through hands-on activities and exploring ideas throughout the community. On a personal note, I have a supportive wife and two wonderful children—one nearing graduation and the other currently a sophomore. I love a good story, learning new things, and laughing.

Assistant Principal Andrea Dishon

Since January 2000, I have served as a secondary educator, instructional coach, and advancement coordinator in Grosse Ile Township Schools. I am passionate about supporting our learners as they prepare for their post-high school journeys and deeply appreciate the efforts of our families in providing such a nurturing foundation for their children. My husband, Todd, and I have built a blended family with three children: Michael, a special education teacher; Matthew, an assistant superintendent at a golf course; and Brooke, a senior at Trenton High School.

Grosse Ile High School Schedule

We’re excited to share this year’s schedule with you! Please note that we will not be using bells to signal transitions between classes. It helps reduce stress and promotes a more relaxed atmosphere, giving everyone a bit more time to transition smoothly from one activity to the next. We believe this will enhance the overall educational experience and encourage a more engaged and thoughtful approach to learning.
